Long-distance move from Agoura Hills, CA to Asbury, MO

Friendly & very professional

The three gentlemen who moved my belongings were friendly, but very professional and took the care not to damage anything. They offered to and cheerfully assisted me in finishing my packing, as I was doing this move completely on my own. One safe was particularly large and extremely heavy, yet they handled it through narrow hallways and doors with ease and care. And on top of everything, the cost was actually more reasonable than I expected. Every other moving company I checked with were much more costly. I highly recommend this company for your moving needs.

Delivery of bed, tv stand, and 3 bookshelves

An 18-wheeler was sent to deliver the few items (a queen bed, a bookshelf, and a tv stand. They knew it was just a few items, had the community address and realized after getting to the site that an 18-wheeler would not fit. I was charged an extra $200. They lost the bolts to the bed, and damaged the tv stand. The company sent one driver who is also the mover and the assembler, said he was too exhausted and ran out of time couldn’t put the bed together because the person at the other end lost the bolts and other parts. He said call the number and file a claim. I received a text message from his boss today with a claim link and telling me to contact the BBB. Really?! He actually wants me to contact the Better Business Bureau and report this company…that pretty much says it all.

Local move within Missouri

Very professional and conscientious.

Very professional and conscientious. They are hard workers. I kept them fed and hydrated and tipped them at the end for an excellent job moving all my things.

Hands down best moving company ever. Owner to the entire staff you have at your place from the online website experience, speaking on the phone with customer service, the email and text communication all the way to the end with you following up for my feedback.

This is my 3rd move with Wheatland Van Lines. I would recommend your moving company to anyone I know. You must have great company owners who care about the employees. A great company starts at the top with effective leaders.

Long-distance move from Illinois to Florida

Terrible Mover & No Communication from Agent after Payment Received

The contract was signed on 8/22/2023 and the mover had scheduled pickup between 10/9 and 10/11. They called on 10/5/2023 to schedule move on 10/7/2023. When I told them that was not possible because I would be out of town, they kept moving pickup between 10/9/2023 and 10/11/2023. They finally picked up on 10/10/2023. The mover knew that pickup was to be from an apartment but sent a huge semi-truck with just the driver that could not enter the apartment complex. I was forced to pay an additional $280 charge for 'long carry' and stairs over and above their 'binding estimate'.

They again sent a 18-wheeler semi-truck to make delivery on 10/25/2023. This resulted in another 'long carry' charge of $200.

The driver was discourteous. Alex the Dispatcher was rude; Mark Greene, who had been so responsive prior to payment, never returned repeated calls and emails asking for his help and intervention.

I believe that this mover scams people by quoting a 'low' binding estimate and then finds new ways to squeeze extra payments from customers. The delivery driver threatened to leave my effects on the sidewalk when I protested the 'long carry' fee upon delivery.

Scammers and Liars

Don't trust this company! Matt Greene, Dustin, and Alex are all in on the bait and switch for long-term moves. Matt sells you on price and 5-7 day delivery. The moving day price goes way up and Matt can't be reached and you are vulnerable to the predators Alex and Dustin the truck driver. They quote you a price and tell you it's all their own crew but then you get a contractor from Mayflower and a tweaker from Craigslist. The delivery date of 5-7 days suddenly changes when you sign the paperwork at midnight because they show up late. then you receive no communication from them regarding your delivery date which was changed without your knowledge. My delivery went from $5600 - $9300 and a week extra on the delivery.

Long-distance move from Victoria, MN to Hardeeville, SC

If it is too good to be true,,,

It started out easy enough and Matt Green will treat you like family. He was very knowledgable and was great at selling their service. We spent weeks measuring furniture and totes and getting our quotes as accurate as possible. A week before they were to pick up my furniture they sent boxes, tape and packing materials. I elected to pay them to build boxes for a large TV and a fireplace. They arrived, Anton was the driver, Tony was the muscle. They wrapped the furniture, and did a good job of ensuring the furniture was properly wrapped. I watched them load the truck and secure it, It all looked wonderful. and then it started, the price was double, I could have left stuff off the truck and keep it to the exact quote price but decided to let them take it and I agreed to the increase, they did a great job upfront, I had no concerns. Anton had me sign the agreement with the new cost. I screwed the pooch at this time, I elected the default coverage insurance not the replacement cost coverage. They packed it tight, it was going to be delivered in 35 days, how much damage could possible happen.

READ THE AGREEMENT, DEFAULT INSURANCE IS PAID VIA 60 CENTS A POUND PER PIECE, VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GETTING REIMBURSED FOR DAMAGE, JUST 60 CENT PER POUND.

We arrived in South Carolina and the delivery date that Matt Green and I agreed to was Aug 23rd. I figured I would check in with them on the 20th to ensure everything was on track, well thats when I learned that the date on the contract is just the earliest date it can be delivered but they have a 14 day window. READ THE CONTRACT

Not the end of the world but I packed the stuff we needed on week one, we just adjusted our plans and moved on.

The Big day came, yesterday! the truck pulled up, The muscle (Tony ) was a familar face and the new guy Dustin was with him. They opened the back of the truck and all of my nicely packed stuff was all over the place. Nothing was still secure, several boxes crushed. The furniture was still wrapped so hoped that all was intact. We the two pieces I paid to have them professionally wrap and pack, a new 70 inch TV and a fireplace Console are both damaged. TV screen is broken and will not turn on, just flashed. The Console has damage to the cabinet. Looks like it may have been dropped. these are the two big disappointments, the boxes are not unpacked yet but he stainless steel cooking pans are all dented, not little dents, big dents.

The day my furniture left my home it was secure and wrapped. It showed up a month and a half later tossed all over the back of the van. Anton must have known that I selected the 60 cent per pound insurance and treated my property with that level care (Zero)

What can I do, I will turn in a claim, but I am out of a 1500 dollar TV that I paid them to securely pack. The console needs to be scrapped, and FYI they leave all cardboard the used to build the custom boxes.

Long-distance move from Minnesota to New York

Bait and Switch, Very Poor Service

Quoted $1,950. Jacked up to $4,400 on moving day. They say it was because I had more items. Lie. I went over everything on the phone. These guys are great on the phone. Then they show up and renege. Look at other reviews. There's a pattern. I've never done business with a company this shady. Bottom line, I'm on Disability and could never pay their jacked up price. Wheatland is currently holding hostage everything I own and threatening to auction or dump it.

Long-distance move from Minneapolis, MN to Phoenix, AZ

Good service, thank you Justin!

Moving is definitely one of the hardest things to do and it takes too much time and effort, I searched online for a moving company to do my move and found WVL and contacted them. The person in the office was very polite and told me all the details and gave me a quote. Their prices were very reasonable and best in the area. Other thing which made me go with them is that they didn't require large deposit only about 10-15%, most of other companies wanted about 30-40% downpayment. So I hired them for our move from Minneapolis to Phoenix Az. Three men came for my move Justin(foreman) Alex and Dave. As they reach my home they start working without any delay. Guys handled my furniture and all glass pieces very carefully as if it were their own. I am very happy!

Great crew

Since moving may be quite stressful, it's important to hire a business that will do all it can to alleviate some of that pressure. Wheatland Van Lines performed an excellent job of keeping my things secure and organized. The guys were a great crew, and everything went smoothly throughout the relocation.

Life savers!

I needed some items shipped last minute from an auction I recently won. These guys came in and got it all done in 2 days. I am very grateful. It was honest, reliable, and fast. Most of all communication was great the entire time. Thanks guys!
